Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your email address, used to sign you in and identify your account.
• Your first and last name, and how you'd like your name displayed on testimonies (full name, first name, initials, or anonymous).
• The church you associate your account with, if you choose one from our list.

When you use the platform, we also store:

• The testimonies you write, including the theme you select (or the custom theme label you provide), the country you associate with the story, and whether it was inspired by another testimony.
• Your reactions to testimonies — for example, marking that you're praying for one, or marking a prayer as answered.
• Reports you submit about a testimony, and, if you choose to give it, the email address to follow up with you.

We do not knowingly collect payment information, government ID numbers, or other sensitive identifiers — Only Be God is free to use and doesn't ask for them.

How We Use Your Information

• To operate your account — signing you in, showing you your own testimonies, saved testimonies, and prayer list.
• To display testimonies to other users according to the name display you chose.
• To let you filter and search the testimonies board by theme, church and country.
• To suggest a theme for your story when you select “Other”, using AI (see below).
• To review reported testimonies and reach out about them if needed.
• To notify our team internally when a new custom theme is suggested or a testimony is reported, so we can review it.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

AI-Assisted Theme Suggestions

If you select “Other” as your testimony's theme and ask for a suggestion, the text of your testimony is sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) solely to suggest a fitting theme. It is used only to generate that suggestion and is not used by us or the provider to train models.

Who We Share Information With

We rely on a small number of service providers to run Only Be God:

• Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication. Data is stored in Supabase's EU (eu-west-1) region.
• Vercel — hosts the website itself.
• Resend — delivers occasional internal notification emails to our team (for example, when a testimony is reported).
• Anthropic — powers the optional AI theme-suggestion feature described above.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We do not share your personal information with anyone else, except where required by law.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie set by Supabase to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run third-party analytics that profile you across other sites.

What Other Users Can See

A testimony you publish is visible to other users (and, on the public homepage, to visitors) according to the name display you chose when you wrote it — full name, first name, initials, or anonymous. Your email address, church association used for filtering purposes, and reaction history are never shown to other users.

Your Rights and Choices

• You can edit or delete your own testimonies at any time from your profile or the testimony's own page.
• You can change your name, name display, church, and password from Settings.
• You can delete your account from Settings. This permanently deletes your account and profile. Testimonies you've already shared will remain on the site, no longer linked to your account, so the encouragement they offer to others isn't lost.
• You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or erase it beyond what self-service allows, by emailing us.

Children

Only Be God is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the platform grows. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
